Annointing of the Sick

The Catholic Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, formerly known as Last Rites or Extreme Unction, is a ritual of healing appropriae not only for physical but also for mental and spiritual sickness.

While many of us want to get better, planning our final rest is important for us and our families. Below is some information on Funeral planning.

Into the Father’s Hands

Death is a reality in each of our lives. Into the Father’s Hands© offers an umbrella of support in line with Church teaching and tradition that assists the faithful in preparing for their own death and for times when their lives are impacted by the death of loved ones. Into the Father’s Hands offers support for individuals and parishes who are interested in providing a continuum of care for parishioners. Support may include resources for:

  • Estate planning
  • Ethical and religious directives
  • Care Notes™
  • Planning for the Rite of Christian funerals and burial
  • Grief support groups

Individuals may purchase planning guides individually or in bulk from the Center for Family Life Formation. You can also contact Fr. James in the parish office for more information.
